Luggage Racks for Guest Rooms

Measurements come first here, because a good-looking piece in the wrong spot still fails. Looking for luggage racks for guest rooms in your home? I'm sharing the preferred luggage racks plus a few approaches of what you could use instead!

Our guest bedroom is a busy place since we have so many friends and family that live out of town. A luggage rack is a must-have since many guests prefer to live out of their suitcases instead of putting their clothes away in drawers. It also keeps guests from having to use either the floor or your bed for resting their open suitcase. I'm sharing the preferred luggage rack plus approaches for a few alternatives to use in your home. Let's get to it… (post includes affiliate links – full disclosure statement available {here})

In our guest room, we have {this white luggage rack} that folds neatly away for storage:

And opens up to not only have space for a suitcase on top, but also a shelf on the bottom:

Alternatives to Luggage Racks

One of the preferred alternatives to a traditional luggage rack is a pair of stools at the foot of a bed. They work well on a daily basis for holding decorative bed pillows when you go to bed, as a spot to sit to put on your shoes, and also for holding suitcases in a guest room. {This pair of rattan stools} is a great example:

Other Sources:Rattan bed  |  3-drawer nightstand  |  Bone inlay table lamp  |  Beaded chandelier

We had a pair of stools at the foot of our bed in our previous home similar to {these folding camp stools}. We used them like you'd use a luggage rack, holding luggage and overnight bags when packing and unpacking for trips:

See my post on X-base stool approaches for more of the preferred stools and ways to use them.

You could also choose to have a long bench at the end of your guest bed that can do double duty as a luggage rack like {this cane bench} we have in ours:

Beadboard bed (weathered white)  |  Round mirror  |  Embroidered stripe pillow shams  |  Embroidered stripe duvet cover  |  Blue and white block print pillows (similar) | White tassel pillow cover

We also had {this leather weave bench} at the foot of the bed in my oldest daughter's room in our previous home and loved it:

Room Sources:Blue grasscloth wallpaper  |  Gold quatrefoil pendant  |  Canvas surf scene art  |  Acrylic lamp

It would work great in a guest room where it could do double duty as a luggage rack.

There are so many other pretty options too! Look at my post on all of the preferred End of Bed Benches for more! Another post you might enjoy is on How to Make a Bed in 8 Simple Steps!

Do you have other kept luggage racks to share?
