Decorating With Poufs

Start with the layout decision, then the finish, then the pieces that get touched every day. Poufs are one of the most versatile accessories you can have in your home! There are so many different uses for them and such a wide range of colors and styles that you can find poufs to fit any decorating style. Today I'm sharing approaches for decorating with poufs plus the preferred sources for buying them. (post includes commissionable links; for more information see my disclosure statement {here})

Poufs as Footrests

Probably the most common way to use poufs is as footrests. We had a pair of {these white Moroccan poufs} in our bonus room that were well suited to throwing your feet up on when hanging out on the daybed:

Poufs at the Foot of a Bed

We have also used this same pair of poufs at the foot of my daughter's bed instead of a bench:

Poufs for Extra Family Room Seating

You can also place two or three poufs in the middle of your living room to serve as coffee tables or use them around a coffee table for casual seating like we use {these finished textured poufs} in our living room:

Poufs as a Side Table

Taller poufs such as {this striped jute pouf} can do double duty as a side table:

Poufs Under an Entryway Console

We have a pair of {these poufs} under our entryway console and they're well suited to pulling out to take shoes on or off as go out or come through the door:
