Benjamin Moore Nightfall Field notes
The notes below stay with placement, materials, and the sequence that avoided a redo of the redo. Benjamin Moore Nightfall is one of the preferred paint colors! Benjamin Moore describes it as “a blackened gray infused with the serene mystique of midnight”. That's a fancy way of saying that it's a dark charcoal gray that looks black in most light. It's not a “dark hole” kind of black but rather a soft, muted black. Next to crisp white trim, it looks notable!
Benjamin Moore Nightfall was recommended to me when I was on the hunt for a great black paint for the house office. I threw it up on the wall along with 4-5 other samples and it was the clear winner!

I think one of the keys to using it is to pair it with lighter woods and whites to keep the space from looking too dark and heavy. It's a paint color that I'd highly recommend and will definitely consider using again in the future.
