Dining in Style: My Kept Trestle Dining Tables
Keep the dimensions nearby. Most of the trouble in these projects starts with scale. When we decided to add a banquette to our kitchen eat-in, I went on the hunt for a trestle dining table to pair with it. Having a trestle table instead of a traditional four legged table would allow us to pull the table closer to the banquette and get in and out of it easily.
Today I'm sharing all of the preferred trestle dining tables that I found in my search including the one I ended up choosing. Ready to see?! (post includes commissionable links; for more information, see my full disclosure statment {here}).
Some of the preferred finds have a traditional trestle dining table design including {this extending trestle table} that comes in two sizes and three finishes:

While other favorites have a more contemporary design including {this dining table with a painted finish}:

These are all ten of favorites:

Modern white oak table (also available in natural and ebony finishes) | 6. Mango dining table | 7. Extending baluster post table | 8. Distressed ivory trestle table (also available in distressed brown) | 9. X-shaped smoked white table (also available in brown & gray) | 10. Raw wood trestle table
So which one did I end up with? I chose {this trestle table} in the seadrift finish and couldn't be happier with it:

Other Sources:DIY banquette | Capiz pendant (22.5″) | Geometric gray rug | Large blush abstract framed art | Blue floral framed art | Pink floral framed art | Slipcovered dining chairs (similar) | Table runner no longer available
This table is also available as an extending table in three sizes and five finish options {here}. It has a slightly distressed top which A strong choice is because it hides any nicks and imperfections really well.
I waxed my new table in order to seal and protect it and now that the household has fast forwarded several years, I can tell you that it's help up beautifully! See my post on how to protect a wood table for all of the details of how to wax your table and what wax and other supplies to use for the best result.
